Michael Casey, known to his many friends as Mick, was born in Big Bona in 1895 and moved to Merasheen in 1953.He worked as fisherman and, n later years, as wharf manager and as a mail carrier. Mick resettled to Freshwater in 1967.He passed away in 1987 at the age of 92.
